I definitely had not planned on going this long without writing a post. So, this will be a catch up Blog to get me back on track! Here is what the Rogers family has been involved in....
Traveling
In May, we went to Vero Beach for our annual Memorial Day trip. We had a great time and Addison enjoyed spending some time on the beach...as long as she had her sandals on! In June, Ben and I left Addison with Babby and Papa while we traveled to Pismo Beach, CA for one of my work trips to wine country. We have traveled to PA and AL to visit family. Ben and I went to New York City for Alexis Petrosa's wedding (a close friend of Ben's from high school). In August, we went to Skytop, PA for Ben's family vacation and then I left for Tampa for the Republican National Convention.

MOVING
Yes, moving. This was my 8th move since coming to DC. We have moved to a 3 bedroom town home in Arlington. It has a little more room and a 2 car garage, which we love. We moved at the beginning of July, but it took about a month to get settled. We moved during the weekend of the power outage in DC so both the homes we moved from and to did not have any power or AC. I will have to post pictures at a later date as I have yet to take any of the new place!
ADDISON
Addison keeps us busy these days. She is very talkative! She started counting to 10 around Memorial Day weekend and has been working on counting to 20 these past couple of weeks. She can sing her ABCs, loves nursery rhymes and sing "Jesus Loves Me". Her imagination and creativity when she plays has really started to shine. She takes very good care of her babies and friends (stuffed animals). She loves to change their diapers and cook pasta. We love her excitement for life. She gets so excited when she can push buttons, go on an elevator, check the mail or go down to our garage. She is much more opinionated and has definitely entered the 2-year-old phase of using "no" more. Overall, she is very sweet, sympathetic to others, polite, joyful and energetic. We all have our moments when we are tired or hungry, right? Below are a couple of pictures of her playing in the sprinkler during August.
BABY
Some of the most exciting news we have had to share this summer is the next Baby Rogers will join the family in January 2013! We found out in April that we were expecting and starting telling family and friends in June.
More to follow this week on Addison's 2nd birthday party and the gender reveal - is Baby Rogers a boy or girl?!?!
